Welcome to my website. My name is Shirley Trinkwon and I am delighted to share my love of harp music with you by playing the harp for therapeutic purposes.

Training to become a harp therapist with the International Harp Therapy Program has presented me with a wonderful opportunity to learn how to help people of all ages and in many different situations where healing is needed.

I will have completed my training by summer 2014 becoming a Certified Therapeutic Harp Practitioner, accredited by the National Standards Board for Therapeutic Musicians.

Previously, I have many years of experience working as a self-employed piano teacher and piano tuner, as which I am continuing to provide my piano services as before.

"Re: Harp Therapy for Patient with Parkinson's

"Shirley Trinkwon has doing harp therapy with my husband and I feel he has benefitted from this. He obviously enjoys it and finds it calming and relaxing. He certainly seems less distressed during and after his therapy. He also finds it stimulating and has shown an interest in the harp, which is an improvement as he rarely shows enthusiasm now. When I asked whether he wished to continue his therapy he said "definitely", which indicates both his enjoyment and that he recalls having the therapy"   Jane*
